Yongjia pumped storage power Station, with a total investment of 7.985 billion yuan, was approved by the provincial Development and Reform Commission and held a groundbreaking ceremony. As a landmark project to build the whole chain of "Nuclear landscape water hydrogen storage" in Wenzhou, and the comprehensive utilization project of water resources with the largest investment scale in Yongjia's history, Yongjia pumped storage power Station achieved the "launch, contract, approval and construction in the same year", taking an important step for mountainous areas and counties to enter the green energy industry and help achieve common prosperity.

It is reported that pumped storage power station, known as the green "charge bank" of the grid, is a mature large-capacity energy storage solution. Yongjia pumped storage Power Station project is jointly developed by Yongjia County and PowerChina. The upper reservoir is located in Nancheng Street, and the lower reservoir is located in Qiaoxia Town. The natural drop between the upper reservoir and the lower reservoir is about 577 meters, with a total installed capacity of 1.2 million kW. The project has been included in the key project library of the National Energy Administration's Medium and Long-Term Plan for Pumped Storage (2021-2035).

It is a major feature of the project that the early examination and approval is promoted efficiently and the late driving effect is significant. According to the relevant departments of Yongjia County, under the strong support of the provinces and cities and the strong efforts of the project team, the approval of each topic is more than 35 days faster than the same batch of "4+1" projects. In the next step, Yongjia will make every effort to guarantee the barrier-free promotion and high-quality construction of the project, jointly promote the employment increase of people, the cultivation of local financial resources, the development of tourism economy, etc., to create a typical case of central-local cooperation, and the core achievement of developing green energy in mountainous areas and counties to achieve common prosperity.

After BYD's new energy power battery production base settled in Yongjia at the end of last month, the pumped storage power station project has been approved and started, which is another achievement of Yongjia's promotion of green development, and also the epitome of Wenzhou's efforts to seize the "double carbon" tuyre. Since this year, the whole "nuclear scenery water hydrogen storage" new energy chain has been built in the city, and a large number of major projects such as nuclear power, wind power, photovoltaic, hydropower, pumping and storage, hydrogen energy and energy storage have been implemented to promote Wenzhou to build a national new energy production capacity center and application demonstration city.
