Electrochemical Energy Storage Power Station Industry Statistics released for the first time

New energy storage is an important technology and basic equipment for the construction of a new power system, and an important support for achieving the goal of carbon peak carbon neutrality. In recent years, the new energy storage industry of our country has achieved a rapid development, as a series of national encouraging policies have been introduced one after another. Electrochemical energy storage, as one of the important types of new energy storage, is the first to realize industrial application.

In accordance with the relevant requirements of the National Energy Administration and the appeal of the majority of power enterprises, in 2022, China Electricity Union organized the member units of the National Power Safety Production Committee to carry out the statistical work of the electrochemical energy storage power station industry, committed to building a complete and systematic statistical data system of the electrochemical energy storage power station industry. The statistical data is 19 national power production safety committee member of each enterprise investment, the use or operations, installed more than 500 kw / 500 KWH of electrochemical energy storage power station, as well as access to the national grid, part of the southern power grid electrochemical energy storage power station, covered the generator side and grid side and user side of electrochemical energy storage power station application scenario.

The 19 members of the National Electricity Safety Production Committee include: State grid, China huaneng, China southern power grid, datang, China huadian electric, turbine in China, China will build, of nuclear group, China's three gorges group, national development investment group, the national energy group, China anneng, CGNPC, China resources holdings, zhejiang group to group, guangdong energy, Beijing, Inner Mongolia electric power group, etc.

According to the Statistical Data of the Electrochemical Energy Storage Power Station Industry, as of August 31, 2022, 19 enterprise members of the National Committee of Electric Power Safety Production have submitted 478 electrochemical energy storage power stations with a total power of 7.36GW and a total energy of 14.88GWh, which are above 500kW/500kWh. Among them, 248 power stations are in operation with a total energy of 5.27GWh, 158 are under construction with a total energy of 8.77GWh, and 72 are out of operation with a total energy of 0.84GWh. From January to August, 64 electrochemical energy storage power stations were newly put into operation, with a total energy of 1,292.84mWh.

From January to August 2022, the on-grid electricity of the national electrochemical energy storage projects was 1251.18GWh, and the off-grid electricity was 2151.64GWh. From January to August 2022, the planned shutdown of the electrochemical energy storage projects was 118 times and the unplanned shutdown was 329 times.

It is reported that the statistical data will provide data support for understanding the development status of the electrochemical energy storage power station industry, the operation situation and the benefit of the electrochemical energy storage power station, and provide industry services for strengthening the safety management of the electrochemical energy storage power station and improving the product quality.
