From January to August 2022, Huadian International Laicheng Power Plant received an average monthly compensation of 9.05 million yuan for AGC FM auxiliary service, and the average monthly compensation for Unit 3 and Unit 4 was 2.96 million yuan and 3.02 million yuan respectively (energy storage is operated jointly with these two units).

Datang Linqing Thermal Power Plant received an average monthly compensation of 4.09 million yuan for AGC FM auxiliary service from April to August 2022. The monthly compensation for Unit 1 and Unit 2 was 1.89 million yuan and 2.2 million yuan respectively.

Given that the installed energy storage capacity of these two plants is not large, the benefits are considerable at the current FM compensation level.

At present, the market rules in Shandong Province are not conducive to AGC FM auxiliary service projects for independent energy storage power plants. According to regulations, when independent energy storage devices independently participate in the FM auxiliary consumer market, the FM growth rate is 0.1, and the independent energy storage devices providing FM auxiliary services do not participate in the electricity energy market clearance, and do not participate in the price arbitrage of power engineering spot market.

It is obvious that independent energy storage power plants' enthusiasm to participate in FM auxiliary service projects will be affected in the case that the profits obtained after enjoying FM auxiliary service projects are reduced by 10% and the opportunity to participate in spot market is lost.

Energy storage is applied in Shandong AGC FM auxiliary consumer market. In a short time, it will be dominated by the form of fire storage collaborative FM.
